SEAWORK 2018 SPIRIT OF INNOVATION
Seawork 2018 International, Europe’s largest commercial marine and workboat exhibition, has awarded their Innovation Showcase category 'Safety & Training' to Landau UK Commercial for their newly designed kill cord ‘Lifecord’ for which they are the UK and European distributor. It also won the much coveted overall winners award, 'Spirit of Innovation’.
The ECMA’s judging panel were impressed by ‘Lifecord’ which is the only ‘smart’ kill cord incorporating detection technology, designed to trigger an audible and visual warning alarm should the ‘Lifecord’ not be connected to the pilot. They commented “A large part of Seawork has always been about saving lives at sea and because of that and the genuine innovative nature of this product the judging panel has selected the Lifecord for its overall Spirit of Innovation Award”.
